With so many interior design trade shows and architecture events once again taking place following the global pandemic, it can be hard to choose which ones to visit. To help you decide, we have compiled a detailed guide to the must attend events of 2022.

Surface Design Show

Tuesday 8th – Thursday 10th February | Business Design Centre, London, UK

Surface Design Show is the UK’s leading event for architects and designers to explore the best in surface material innovation.

More than 150 exhibiting companies and organisations are set to display the widest range of surface materials and designs, not just from the UK, but from around the world

The 2022 edition of the show will have a strong focus on sustainability as it looks to influence this crucial debate. The theme, a ‘Sense of Place’, will highlight the planet’s wellbeing as being at the heart of all decision making

Tuesday 1st – Thursday 3rd March| ExCeL, London‎, UK

Evolving with the industry and the UK Government’s goal, Futurebuild is pioneering the drive to net zero. Their mission is to cultivate cross sector collaboration to inspire the transformational change needed to propel the construction industry to the ambitious goal of achieving net-zero.

For the 2022 edition of the show, around 20,000+ specifiers, decision-makers and disruptors are expected to attend to find new products and solutions.

Architect@Work London

Architect@Work is aimed at architects, interior designers and other specifiers with a focus on architectural innovation. Alongside a programme of panel discussions and seminars, the event showcases the work of leading architectural suppliers showcasing innovative products.

The mission of Architect@Work is to provide much more than a simple meeting point for specifiers. Considerable focus is laid on the exchange of knowledge and innovative ideas.

Every year Architect@Work London has a different theme on which its exhibition and panel discussion focuses. The theme for 2022 is Air & Architecture.

Grand Designs Live

UK Construction Week

Clerkenwell Design Week

London Festival of Architecture

The London Festival of Architecture is a month-long, city-wide celebration of architectural practice and experimentation.

The event is the world’s largest annual architecture festival, with a mission to democratise discussions around architecture, test new ideas and uncover and promote new talent.

Birmingham Design Festival

The Birmingham Design Festival is a celebration of the local, national and international design industry. Returning in 2022, the festival is set to feature 100+ events and 80+ speakers over three days in June.

London Design Festival

Saturday 17th – Sunday 25th September| Various venues around London, UK

London Design Festival celebrates and promotes London as the design capital of the world and as the gateway to the international creative community.

The Festival features hundreds of large-scale installations, exhibitions and events pop ups.

In 2019, it welcomed a record-breaking 600,000 individual visitors from over 75 countries. An additional passer by audience of nearly 1 million people had the opportunity to see the four Landmark Projects.

The 2022 edition will be the event’s 20th anniversary.

100% Design / Design London

Wednesday 21st – Saturday 24th September | Magazine London

In 2020 100% Design rebranded and became known as Design London.

Design London is the largest destination for contemporary design during London Design Festival. The event features a highly curated selection of influential furniture, lighting and contract interiors brands.

In 2021 Design London welcomed more than 12,000 visitors, connecting architects, interior designers, specifiers and more with some of the world’s leading brands.
